A PSE&G spokesperson told News 12 that power may be out for some New Jersey residents for two or three days in the aftermath of Isaias.
Spokeperson Rebecca Mazzarella said it was one of the "strongest storms" to hit the New Jersey area in recent years.
Gov. Phil Murphy says there was upward of 1.4 million residents without power. He says he has been in communication with PSE&G and believes a total restoration could take longer than three days.
Mazzarella said that hospitals, fire stations and other locations would get priority for having their power restored.
She said the most hard hit areas were in Burlington and Bergen.
