A police-involved shooting unfolded Thursday evening around 10:30 p.m. near West Bigelow and Hunterdon Street in Newark.
Video from the scene at 685 Hunterdon St. showed a large police presence. Officers were seen cordoning off the area and placing shell casing markers.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office called it an active and ongoing investigation.
No further details have been released.
