Authorities have released the names of a couple who died in an apparent murder-suicide at their Hudson County home.
Prosecutors believe 54-year-old Raymond Haddad shot his 44-year-old wife, Monica, and then turned the gun on himself. It's not yet clear what sparked the incident at their Jersey City home.
Jersey City police responded to reports of shots fired on Summit Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday. The couple was pronounced dead there a short time later.
It doesn't appear that anyone else was in the home when the shooting occurred.
Prosecutors say the incident remains under investigation.
