Prosecutors: House broken into in Monmouth County, 2 people injured

The prosecutor's office says the incident occurred on Monday around 2:45 a.m. when police responded to Sargent Road on a report of a home invasion.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says two people were injured after their house in Freehold was broken into on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Monday around 2:45 a.m. when police responded to Sargent Road on a report of a home invasion.

The two residents told police there was an altercation of some kind between them and the intruder.

One of the residents was treated at the scene and the other taken to a hospital for treatment and was later released.
