The owner of a Nutley tanning salon was secretly filming his clients, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
“Sun of a Beach” owner Martino Poli is facing multiple charges, including invasion of privacy and endangering the welfare of a child.
A spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office says that investigators were tipped off after a female customer at the Franklin Avenue salon reported that she noticed what looked to be a camera lens recording her while she was in a tanning bed. Police searched the salon Wednesday and found what they believe to be recording devices.
Police also allegedly found cocaine and marijuana inside the salon.
Poli is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility and will face a judge June 18.
