A South Brunswick man is accused of killing a woman that he knew, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say Roman Romanovskiy, 41, is facing multiple charges for the death of 38-year-old Lauren Saldana, of Freehold.
According to the prosecutor, police were called to a house on Route 27 in South Brunswick around 3:15 p.m. Thursday for a report of an unconscious woman. Officials say that Saldana was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials did not release details about how Saldana died but said that the act leading to her death was done in front of children. They say Romanovskiy knew Saldana and that this was not a random act of violence.
Romanovskiy was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Romanovskiy is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center.
