The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office says a man was crossing the street in West New York when he was struck by a mid-size sedan.

The hit-and-run happened Saturday just before 8 p.m. in the area of 58th Street and Boulevard East.

Authorities say the vehicle left the scene.

The victim is currently hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
