Prosecutor: Newark shooting leaves 1 man dead, 2 injured

A shooting in Newark Sunday night left one man dead and two others injured, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. on the 800 block of 18th Avenue. The prosecutor says that Newark police officers found the three men at the location with gunshot wounds.
The man who died was identified as 46-year-old Altariq Johnson. The other two men were taken to University Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say that no arrests have been made.
