The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says a NJIT college student has died after she was fatally struck by a vehicle in Newark.
The accident happened Tuesday just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Street and Central Avenue.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Naomi Segura, 25, of Byram Township, was taken to a hospital, but died early this morning from her injuries.
The prosecutor’s office says the car that hit Segura kept driving, but a second car stopped and called for help.
