A Hawthorne man is facing charges in a deadly DWI crash in Bergen County.
The county prosecutor says that William Clark, 38, was intoxicated when he crashed on Wagara Road near the intersection of Maple Avenue and River Road, killing a person riding on a motorcycle.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials say Clark was driving a 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck and crossed over the double yellow lines, striking 33-year-old Harold Almonte who was riding a motorcycle. Almonte was taken to the hospital and later died.
Clark was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide. He was also issued multiple motor vehicle summonses. He is being held at the Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance.
