An 18-year-old Hillsborough man is facing charges related to several “shots fired” incidents in the town earlier this month.

Officials say that two homes were hit with gunfire on Sept. 2 and another home on Sept. 5. No one was injured, but people were inside the homes at the time.

Ryan Vandermeer was identified as the shooter, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities say that numerous firearms and ammunition were seized from his home during a search.

Vandermeer was arrested on Sept. 12 and charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of endangering another person and weapons charges.
