The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office says that the "badly decomposed" body of a woman was pulled from the Hudson River.
The body was spotted near the Newport Marina in Jersey City just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The woman was officially pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigators have not identified the woman and did not release additional details about the death.
Last month, a different woman's body was pulled from the river near the Hoboken Terminal. Her identity has not yet been determined.
Anyone who may have information about either death should call the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip.
