Two certified nursing assistants are accused of assaulting a patient and leaving them critically injured.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says the incident happened at the Crystal Lake Rehabilitation Facility in Berkeley Township. A 52-year-old patient was involved.

Details of the assault were not provided.

Dhenmark Francisco and Jovi Esperanza face aggravated assault charges, according to the prosecutor’s office.
