Authorities in Middlesex County have made an arrest in the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old on Feb. 3.
The county prosecutor’s office says that two juveniles were charged for shooting Mark Atkins of Plainfield. The two 17-year-olds were charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose. One of the teens is in custody, while another one remains at large.
The shooting happened outside an apartment complex on Marc Drive in North Brunswick. Police initially found a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds. He is expected to be OK. Atkins was found a little while later and died at the hospital.
