Two brothers are facing charges related to a deadly stabbing at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office says that Kareem Finney, 25, and Kahli Finney, 20, were charged with first-degree murder, among other charges. The brothers are accused of killing 23-year-old Khalil Glanton on Feb. 16.
Officials say that the death occurred during a basketball tournament at the arena. They say that a fight broke out on the main concourse between sections 111 and 112 moments after the game ended. The prosecutor says that officers trying to break up the fight saw Glanton unresponsive on the ground with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities say that Kareem Finney held Glanton, while Kahli Finney repeatedly stabbed him. This is according to witness accounts and videos. Officials say that the brothers and Glanton had an ongoing dispute over a woman.
