Prosecutor: 1 dead, 1 injured after vehicle strikes pedestrians in Nutley

One person was killed and another injured after a vehicle struck some pedestrians in Nutley on Wednesday night, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident happened on an overpass that crosses over the Garden State Parkway near Exit 151 just around 7 p.m.
Officials did not release many details about the crash. It happened in a residential neighborhood. Investigators were seen speaking with neighbors who may have witnessed the incident.
Details about the victims were not immediately released.
