Five men in Bergen County ran in the race to replace former Sheriff Michael Saudino.

The projected winner is Anthony Cureton.

Saudino resigned back in September after video surfaced of him making racist and homophobic remarks toward a councilwoman.

Saudino issued an apology after the recordings were made public.

He also said he personally apologized to the people about whom the comments were made.
