Progressive rock fans will converge on Rahway this weekend for the annual ProgStock Festival.
The event was in danger of being canceled when flooding from Ida badly damaged Rahway’s Hamilton Stage. But the Union County Performing Arts Center stepped in.
The group McNally Waters is among the acts that will perform over the next three days, as the musicians wrap up their first tour since the pandemic. The group is comprised of Larry John McNally and Harry Waters who is the son of Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters.
They say that they are grateful for live audiences once again.
Performances will be held in person and also live-streamed for ticket buyers. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Rahway Food for Friends, which was damaged in the flood. The flooding destroyed much of the pantry.
The festival began Friday at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday.
