A nor’easter approaching New Jersey could bring coastal flooding.
The storm is expected to bring rain and wind to New Jersey. Snow is possible in some higher elevation areas.
Crews were out in Monmouth County preparing for potential flooding.
"The key to a wind and rain event is making sure that the stormwater management system that is in place is working effectively. All of the catch basins are clear - any excess water is channeled out the way it's supposed to,” says Kevin Kane, business administrator for Belmar.
Officials across the state said they would be monitoring streets for signs of flooding throughout the night and into Tuesday.
