A section of Garfield got a scare Monday after shots were fired during a foiled robbery attempt.
Police say the shots were fired in front of an apartment building near the corner of Vanwinkle and Palisade avenues. Eyewitnesses say a couple of men tried to break into an apartment, but were chased away. No one was injured during the incident.
According to authorities, police have apprehended one juvenile and believe they are looking for at least one other suspect.
