New federal regulations took effect this week that ban the sale of most incandescent lightbulbs. With some exceptions, consumers will have to buy more energy-efficient LEDs for most needs.
News 12's Brian Donohue visited Menlo Park, where Thomas Edison invented the incandescent bulb, before heading to Paramus to visit The Lightbulb Store – a store that sells LED bulbs to consumers making the switch.
It's a "Positively New Jersey" look at the end of an era that started here in New Jersey - and the beginning of a new one.
