Port Authority breaks ground on new entry point at Newark Liberty International Airport

Officials say it will include an extension to the current pedestrian bridge and a new public access area for the pickup and drop off of vehicles.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has broken ground on new entry point at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The $160 million project is said to expand transit and airport access for underserved areas in Newark and Elizabeth.
It will include an extension to the current pedestrian bridge and a new public access area for the pickup and drop off of vehicles.
The new entry point is expected to open in 2026.
