(04/24/06) WAYNE ? The arrest of a popular history teacher at Wayne Hills High School has sent shockwaves through the student body.

Police arrested Timothy Zisa at his home on charges of tampering with a witness. Although prosecutors are remaining tight-lipped, a source close to the investigation says it is believed Zisa had sex with several female high school students. Zisa, who has been at the school for seven years, has been suspended.

Students say they are completely shocked and surprised by the arrest. According to students, Zisa is a popular and enthusiastic teacher. Prosecutors say Zisa has been released on bail.
