Roxbury police say a worker was airlifted to the hospital after falling approximately 30 feet while working at the Ledgewood Mall.
Police say the man is an employee for a demolition/construction company. They say work was being performed on the roof of the mall on Route 10 when the victim fell through an open area.
The worker sustained "major trauma" and was in cardiac arrest, according to police.
The worker, who was not immediately identified, was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Police say OSHA was notified of the incident.
The fall happened as police say a "major power outage" was affecting the area, shutting off all the lights at intersections in the area on Route 10.
