Birds by Joe 2 posted on its Facebook page that the store's owner was shot and is recovering, but that has not yet been confirmed by police.
The store is now temporarily closed, according to the post.
This is the same exotic pet store where a $7,000 parrot was recently stolen and then later returned unharmed.
There's no word if last night's attack is connected to the stolen parrot, as suspects from both incidents remain unaccounted for.
