Middletown police are searching for robbers who broke into cars at gym parking lots on Saturday.
Two of the break-ins happened at 365 Fitness on Harmony Road, and the other at a Workout World. From one car, police believe robbers took $400 in cash and credit cards, and in another instance, they took credit cards, police say.
One of the stolen credit cards was used to buy nearly $700 worth of merchandise at Toys 'R Us in Hazlet, according to police.
Police are warning people to exercise caution while working out at the gym.
Authorities warn gym members not to leave valuables in their cars.
Police are reviewing security camera footage to help them find the suspects. The suspect who used the stolen credit card at the Toys 'R Us is described by cops as a large man, weighing about 230 pounds, with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a black knit cap and a black leather jacket with a green emblem on it, police say.
