Police: Shots fired outside Montclair restaurant following argument
Police in Montclair are investigating a shooting incident that happened in town early Monday morning.
Police say that a group got into a verbal argument inside Cuban Pete’s restaurant on Bloomfield Avenue. They say that the argument made its way outside of the restaurant and then became physical.
The fight was between four men, according to police. Authorities say that during the melee, one of the men brandished a handgun and fired three shots. No one was hit and no injuries were reported.
Police say that the man who fired the gun was described as a Black man, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a thin build. He was last seen driving away from the area on a motorcycle.
Three Ruger 9mm shell casings were found at the scene.
