Palisades Park police are hoping the public can help identify a man who climbed into a woman’s bed after stalking at least three other women.
Authorities said the first report came a few weeks ago when a woman told police that a slim Asian man followed her into a building on Grand Avenue and then made inappropriate comments toward her.
Another woman told police that the same man followed her on Roosevelt Place. The second victim's brother confronted the man, who said he was looking for an address but was on the wrong street, according to police.
Palisades Park police said the same man then broke into a woman’s apartment on Fourth Street around 5 a.m. on June 18. The woman told police she rolled over and her face met his.
Authorities said the intruder asked the woman if he could stay the night, but the woman screamed and he ran off.
Officials on Thursday said a fourth woman came forward to report that the man had also approached her and made inappropriate comments.
“A victim was approached while walking a dog and pretty much the same conversation as the first two,” Palisades Park Police Detective George Beck said.
Police have released a sketch of the suspect based on descriptions from the women. The suspect is described as a slim Asian man who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and is in his 20s.
Officials say that the suspect seems to be targeting Asian women.
Anyone who may have information about the incidents should call Palisades Park police at 201-944-0900.
