Police search for SUV in connection to deadly Jackson Township crash

Police in Ocean County are looking for an SUV they believe caused a deadly crash involving a bicyclist Sunday in Jackson Township.
According to Ocean County prosecutors and Jackson Township police, an Audi A4 swerved on Farmingdale Road to avoid a head-on collision with a red color SUV. While swerving into the left lane to avoid the crash, the Audi struck a bicyclist who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say after striking the bicyclist, the driver of the Audi over corrected his steering and struck a tree. They say the driver of the red SUV continued eastbound on Farmingdale Road and left the scene.
The driver of the Audi was transported to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold for treatment of minor injuries.
