Two separate shooting deaths in the Bronx have made Christmas Day tragic.A 28-year-old Bronx man was killed Christmas morning on Ellis Avenue, and police have arrested his 24-year-old brother. Police say Fidal Gonzales pulled out his gun to show it to his family, but accidentally shot his brother Jorge in the head. Sources tell News 12 The Bronx Fidal tried covering up the shooting by calling police and saying a stray bullet came through the window. Sources say the brothers and some other people were having a party and drinking at the time. The sources say Fidal and Jorge got along great and Fidal would never intentionally hurt his brother. Jorge Gonzales was taken to Jacobi Hospital, but died while he was being treated. A 25-year-old man visiting friends was also killed in front of 2326 Loring Place North in University Heights Monday morning. According to police, the victim got into an argument with a group of men, and one of the men pulled a gun on him. The victim was a friend of Tamika Bennett, who says he had just left her home when she heard gunshots. She says she ran downstairs and saw him lying on the ground, unable to get up. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
