Police say a Middletown man died yesterday after he was hit by a car while trying to cross Route 36. The accident happened near Thompson Avenue near the Academy Bus Depot. William Segebush, 66, was hit by a vehicle that was heading west, police say. Some residents of the area say the intersection is extremely dangerous. However, others say it doesn't appear any more dangerous than most of the intersections along the highway.
Middletown police did not identify the driver, other than to say the driver is from Leonardo. Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in this area yesterday evening and saw something to give them a call.
