A woman was fatally struck by a car Friday afternoon while trying to cross Route 129 in Trenton, according to police.
Authorities say the car hit the 40-year-old near Hamilton Avenue. She was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene, police say. The accident remains under investigation.
