Police: Paramedic struck by drunk driver in Orange County dies

Officials say Pablo Colector, of White Plains, drove drunk and hit Sillins as she crossed traffic to get to the employee parking lot in Newburgh. It was the end of her shift at work.

A paramedic hit by a suspected drunk driver in Orange County on Friday has died. 
Officials say Pablo Colector, of White Plains, drove drunk and hit Lisa Sillins as she crossed traffic to get to the employee parking lot in Newburgh. It was the end of her shift at work.  
According to officials, the DA Is expected to upgrade Colector's charges now that Sillins has died. 
Sillins worked for the company, Ambulnz. The company describes the 58-year-old as a "dedicated, caring paramedic...a shining light" who worked in the EMS industry for more than 20 years. 
Ambulnz says it will share funeral arrangement information for Sillins when it becomes available.
