Police officers in the Bronx are on high alert after threats were made of another potential shooting.
Police sources tell News 12 The Bronx that a memo went out, saying there was a credible threat and that someone may try to shoot a member of the NYPD, specifically with the 41st Precinct.
The memo alerted officers to be "vigilant" and "alert."
The Sergeants Benevolent Association called it an NYPD assassination threat, in a tweet, saying the stationhouse security must be posted on all tours.
The alert comes after last weekend's pair of police-involved
shootings.
