Police have given the all-clear at a Jewish community center in Edison following a bomb threat.
The threat was called into JCC of Middlesex County on Oak Tree Road Wednesday afternoon.
“We’re treating it as a serious event,” Edison Deputy Police Chief Robert Dudash told News 12 New Jersey.
A person who was inside the center at the time tells News 12 that police officers wouldn’t even let them go to their cars when they were evacuated.
No threats were found in the building.
The executive director of the center tells News 12 that the community “won’t stop for hate.”
The threat came about a week after the FBI issued a warning about potential threats against New Jersey synagogues.
