Police: NJ Transit bus driver assaulted by 7 juveniles at Paterson terminal

A New Jersey Transit bus driver was hospitalized Wednesday after being assaulted by a group of juveniles, police said.
According to a statement from New Jersey Transit police, who are handling the investigation, the incident took place at the Broadway Bus Terminal in Paterson. Police say seven juveniles attacked the driver, who operates a bus on the 171 line.
"The operator was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to a local hospital," NJ Transit Police told News 12.
Police have not said what led to the assault or if any of the suspects have been taken into custody. The condition of the victim is not known.
