Police: Mountain Lakes PNC Bank robbed, suspects on the loose

A bank robbery investigation is underway in Mountain Lakes.
Officials say the robbery took place at the PNC Bank located at the corner of Route 46 and Boulevard. It happened around 11:15 a.m. The suspect did not have a weapon but was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Local police and the FBI responded to the bank. The search for the suspect included a police K-9 unit and a police drone.
The bank remains closed. A note posted on the door reads “This office is temporarily closed.” It directs customers to use the PNC Bank at Rockaway Town Square
A description of the suspect was not provided. No one inside the bank was hurt.
