A mother of four was discovered strangled to death inside her apartment on Morris Avenue Friday night, police say.

Neighbors claim Ileana Colon, 32, was killed by her 64-year-old boyfriend, David Galindez. According to Colon's relative, Milagros Diaz, Galindez was verbally abusive, often leaving Colon threatening voice mail messages.

People who knew Colon describe her as humble and introverted. They say she was living in the United States illegally since the age of 17.

Galindez has been taken into police custody and charged with manslaughter.
