Police: Matawan acupuncturist charged with sexually assaulting patient

According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, Kaun, a Matawan resident, was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

A 57-year-old Matawan acupuncturist has been charged with sexually assaulting one of his patients.

According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, Kaun, a Matawan resident, was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

His arrest stems from a report Matawan police received on Thursday, Jan. 25 “regarding the sexual assault of a female victim who recently had an acupuncture appointment.

An investigation led to his arrest on Feb. 1. He is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution until his first hearing on Feb. 7.
