Police: 1 man dead, 2 people seriously hurt in Easton 3-car accident

A man is dead and two other people were seriously injured following a three-car crash in Easton late Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they received numerous calls at about 5 p.m. reporting a vehicle accident on Route 59 between Maple and Judd roads.
They say the first officer to arrive at the scene found a person administering CPR on a male passenger who was unresponsive.
The officer and first responders took over lifesaving efforts before the victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say firefighters extricated two other people who were seriously injured from the vehicles. They were also transported to the hospital.
Route 59 was shut down for over four hours while investigators remained on the scene.
Two of the vehicles were traveling south, while the other was traveling north.
