Extra police officers are on hand one day after an intruder triggered lockdowns at two schools in Hudson County.
The lockdown at George Washington Elementary School in Union City went into effect following a report of a suspicious person inside the building just before 8 a.m. Thursday.
Later in the day, school officials at Daniel Webster Elementary in Weehawken thought they spotted the same person at that school and ordered a lockdown.
Both lockdowns were lifted after police searched and cleared the buildings.

Police say they saw a person on video inside the Union City school looking through a desk in an area away from students and leaving the building a few minutes later.
"The individual was in a storage area where there was a desk, where a secretary partially works out of," says Chief Richard Molinari. "He appeared to be rifling through the desk. Possible intent was to steal something from the desk."
Police are working to locate the man in the video, who they say did not appear armed. He is believed to be in his 30s.
