Police in Somerset County have identified the victim of a deadly plane crash that happened over the weekend.

Franklin Township police say 61-year-old Pankaj Mohan was killed when his single-engine plane crashed in a wooded area near South Middlebush and Hilltop lanes. The crash happened Sunday around 11:30 a.m. after leaving Princeton Airport en route to North Carolina.

Mohan was the only person aboard the plane.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
