Police: House fire in South Orange kills 3 dogs

The dogs died from the smoke conditions inside, according to authorities.

A house fire in South Orange on Monday morning led to the deaths of three dogs, police say.
The fire started just before noon at a home on Redmond Road.
Images posted on social media show bright flames engulfing the front of the home and smoke pouring out of the windows.
Police say that the homeowners were not inside the house at the time of the fire. The dogs died from the smoke conditions inside, according to authorities.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
