Easton Town Hall's e-mail system has been fixed and restored after it was compromised, police say.

It's not clear how long the system was compromised for.

Police say the phishing attempt looked like this:

"Town of Easton requests that you evaluate the RFI service document project scope, technical requirements, submission guidelines for the upcoming Town of Easton Project.

Anyone who received an e-mail from the town that looked similar to that message should not click on the link and are urged to delete it.

Police say although town hall moved quickly to rectify the compromise, some people did receive the message.
