Police arrest suspect in 2017 home invasion, robbery of ‘Real Housewives’ star Dina Manzo

Authorities say that they have arrested one of the two people responsible for a home invasion and robbery at the home of a “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star.
A spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says that Holmdel police were called to the townhouse belonging to “Housewives” star Dina Manzo and her finance David Cantin on May 13, 2017. The couple said that they were confronted by two men who had broken into their home. Cantin was struck several times with a baseball bat while Manzo was punched several times, according to officials.
The couple was tied up while the attackers stole cash and jewelry. Cantin was able to untie himself and call the police.
Police say that one of the men responsible for the robbery was 51-year-old James Mainello, of Bayonne. Mainello was arrested Friday morning. He now faces multiple charges, including robbery and aggravated assault.
Authorities are still looking for the second man involved in the crime. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Detective Wayne Raynor of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office at 1-800-533-7443 or Detective Eric Hernando of the Holmdel Police Department at 732-946-4400.
