Police in Teaneck have arrested three people accused of stealing packages from multiple homes in town.
Aderlin Lluberez, 19, Albiery Lugo, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile were all arrested Monday for multiple thefts of the packages, authorities say.
Authorities say a resident called police after witnessing the group steal a package from their doorstep. With the help of another resident, officers were provided with video of one of the suspects, as well as the suspected vehicle.
Officers stopped the vehicle and noticed the passenger compartment of the car was packed with what appeared to be opened stolen packages. The trunk was also allegedly filled with stolen packages. The investigation further revealed the trio had allegedly driven around the area scouting houses for packages.
Police say a passenger would then exit the vehicle with an empty box from a prior theft, giving the appearance that he was making a delivery. The person would then leave the empty box on the front steps and steal the delivered item from the residence, they say.

All three were placed under arrest and charged with third-degree theft. They allegedly had several thousands of dollars of merchandise in their possession.
Authorities say they determined the trio was involved in thefts from at least 11 homes in Teaneck, but detectives believe there are more outstanding victims.
Anyone who believes they may be a victim is asked to call the Teaneck Police Department.
