A 21-year-old man is dead after a violent accident late Friday night in Union County.
Police say it happened in the 400 block of East 1st Street in Roselle just before midnight where a BMW and a Subaru collided head on.
Some good Samaritans pulled the sole occupant of the BMW out of the car before it burst into flames. He was identified as Brandon Amaro, of Roselle.
Despite efforts by responding officers who administered CPR, Amaro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The husband-and-wife occupants of the Subaru who suffered multiple injuries remained hospitalized in serious but stable condition as of Saturday evening.
