The teen suspected of killing two women in Spring Valley is due back in court on Thursday following the release of the identities of the victims.
Court documents name the victims as Evelyn Aguilar-Agustin and Anabelly Aguilar.
Suspect Alan Abad, also known as Alina Abad, a 19-year-old from Westwood, New Jersey, faces charges of first-degree murder and is currently detained at the Rockland County Jail.

On Saturday, officers were called for a welfare check at an apartment complex on 4 Gesner Drive around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the two women with severe head injuries. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to Westchester Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
Abad was arrested in New Jersey less than a day after the incident. According to court documents, Abad is accused of striking the victims numerous times in the head and body and obstructing their attempts to call for help.
Police have noted that the victims and Abad were acquainted, describing the killings as an isolated incident with no broader threat to the public.
