Police in Newark say two teens, ages 14 and 15, carjacked a driver at gunpoint, and led police on a chase.
The incident happened Monday around 11 a.m. at the corner of Madison and Lafayette streets.
According to police, one of the teens approached the driver in his 2015 Infiniti Q50 asking for money.
Police say at the same time, the other teen slid into the car on the passenger side and threatened to shoot the man before hitting him with a gun.
The driver got out and the teens drove off in his vehicle, but police caught them a short time later.
Both were charged with carjacking, weapons offenses and conspiracy. The 14-year-old was also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Their names were not released because they are minors.

The carjacking victim was brought to University Hospital for minor injuries.
