The head of Newark Liberty International Airport's air traffic controllers union says a plane taxiing out for takeoff hit the wing of another plane Tuesday.
Union head Russ Halleran says an outbound Lufthansa 747 clipped the right wing of a Boeing 757 Continental under tow for maintenance. Halleran says the collision took place shortly before 7 p.m.
Halleran doesn't believe there are any injuries.
